I have recently been thinking a lot about the way I see Christians judging people and condemning people for things they've done or said when they have just as much other sin in their own life. It started bugging me so much that I didn't relize that I was actually JUDGING THEM for JUDGING OTHERS! I started searching for verses about judging and I found a good one:
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
~Matthew 7:1-5
That's what it hit me. I was just as bad as them. Judging people for judging others. Who am I to judge? Only GOD has the authority to judge sin in someone's life. Take a look at this verse:
"Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? "
~Romans 2:1-3
Therefore WE have NO excuse. Every one of us who judges. For when we judge another we are condeming ourselves because because we, being the judge, are doing the same exact things! The judgement of God RIGHTLY falls on those who judge. Do we suppose---as those who judge people for things yet do them ourselve's---that we will escape the judgement of God? No we won't. So we cannot be the ones to judge. Only God has the authority to judge.
"Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?"
~James 4:11-12
GOD is the only one lawgiver and judge. He is the one who is able to save ans destroy so who are we to judge our neighbors? This verse says that the one who judges his brother speaks evil against the law and judges the law. If you judge the law, you are not obeying the law, you are a judge of the law!
I'm gonna challenge myself to quit judging people for judging people. Can you think of anyway in your life where you are being a judge? I challenge you to take the challenge with me and to quit taking God's position and judging the specks in people's eyes, while the chances are, you have a log in your eye that you need to get rid of before you can see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

This is so true, and a good lesson for us all to both learn and keep. Life is too short to spend judging others. We all have enough faults of our own to work on.
